Where are meetings held?

We hold our meetings via Zoom or in our offices. Our default choice of meeting is Zoom, but if you prefer to meet at our offices, just let us know and we will arrange that for you.

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have parking directly in front of our offices. We have two spaces reserved specifically for our clients.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No. The initial meeting is always held at our cost. As part of our initial meeting, alongside getting to know each other, we will explain our services to you and how we are paid.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

Just yourself, and if relevant, your partner. It can be handy to have some financial figures ready, for things like your pension or outstanding mortgage, but this is not essential. If we need anything for our analysis or cashflow modelling, we will ask for them after the meeting.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

Usually, one to two hours.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

No. You can take as long as you need before making a decision.

How can I book an initial meeting?

Just call our offices or send us an email and let us know you would like to learn more about the services we offer. Someone from our team will be in touch to gather a bit more information about you, and then we will arrange a time with you for the initial meeting.

Are you independent?

Yes, we are completely independent. This means that we can recommend products from the whole of the market, and we are not tied to specific providers.

Are you regulated?

Yes, we are directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You can find our entry on the FCA register by clicking here.

Can you advise on final salary/defined benefit transfers?

Yes, we are qualified to advise on these areas.

What happens if my Financial Planner is away on holiday?

We plan our holidays well in advance and try to ensure that we always have someone qualified on hand in the business. We have a comprehensive back-office system and a highly knowledgeable support team, which means that in 90% of cases, any queries can be readily answered by our Client Relationship Team, or if it is a technical question, by our Paraplanners.

It is rare that one of our clients requires advice at short notice, as usually we have discussed various possible scenarios and have plans in place. If necessary, we will arrange a meeting with another adviser in the team.

How do you charge for your services?

We have two services: initial and ongoing. We charge a one-off initial fee for new investments or the set up of new plans, and then a separate ongoing fee for the ongoing monitoring and reviews.

Do you take a percentage or are your fees fixed?

We charge a percentage of assets under advice, which will be full disclosed and explained to you at our first meeting.

Do you get commission?

Certain products will pay us a commission, but this will be fully disclosed to you whenever this is the case.

Do you charge VAT?

No, we do not charge VAT.

Are dogs welcome in the office?

Absolutely. We are all a dog-friendly bunch and any of your four-legged friends will receive a warm welcome.
